Woodland Ridge has chosen to nominate all our wonderful, dedicated team members as our Employee of the Month for May.
In these extraordinary times, our nursing, dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, and front office staff continue to, not just show up and do their jobs, but step up and go above and beyond.
We all have our struggles being quarantined, but our team is caring for our seniors who this virus can hit so much harder. There have been times when we all have pitched in doing extra jobs to be sure our residents receive the best care possible.
Our fantastic team members have children and grandchildren too, in some cases. We are from different places; states from Wisconsin to Florida and Georgia to California. There are many of us from other countries such as Guatemala, Venezuela, the Bahamas, Kenya, and Nigeria. We have all chosen to call Georgia our home, and Woodland Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care, our second family.
In our spare time, we enjoy everything from hiking and mountain biking to knitting and cooking. We all feel called to care for others and find the seniors we care for to be our niche like they are our second mothers/fathers or grandmothers/grandfathers. We are all religious but go to many different churches. To all of us, family is the most important thing in our lives.
We have team members who have worked at Woodland Ridge for 10, 15, and even 20 years. It’s no wonder that our Woodland Ridge family is truly a second family for us.
Our electric sign in front of our driveway says, “Stronger Together, Healthcare Heroes at Work.” We are too humble to think of ourselves as heroes; instead, we say it’s just what we are compelled to do.
We are blessed to have such loyal, dedicated, and caring staff members and we appreciate each and every one!
