EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT August 2023
In our Employee Spotlight for August is Jasmine Nesbeth, Chef. Jasmine is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, and grew up with two older brothers and one older sister. The family came to Atlanta when Jasmine was around 3 years old. After graduating from high school, Jasmine went to Bristol, Tennessee to study Culinary Arts with the Job Corps program. She received her 2-year degree and went right into Assisted Living to begin her career, where she has worked for the last 13 years.
When asked about her hobbies, she said cooking was always her focus. Jasmine and her husband, Luther, are just celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary. Luther is also a chef, working at Taste of Jamaica. Jasmine says they connected over their love of cooking and hope to open their own restaurant or food truck one day.
Jasmine started working at Woodland Ridge 6 months ago and says, “I like that Woodland Ridge is friendly and a calm environment where I can show my skills.” She likes assisted living more than restaurants because it’s less hectic and she feels at home in a smaller environment.
Our residents are enjoying Jasmine’s cooking and we’re happy to have her as part of our team!
