Every year, the staff at CaraVita Home Care have the privilege of hosting students from the Georgia State University physical therapy program to take them through the Virtual Dementia Tour.
CaraVita’s founder and CEO, Beth Cayce, is an alumnus of the program and takes great pride in providing this opportunity for the class. The CaraVita team takes the day to guide the students through the Virtual Dementia Tour and allows time at the end of their visit to engage in an open discussion about dementia and how its effects on our growing senior population determine outcomes from therapy services.
The students and staff always leave with full hearts and have learned something new. This event is highly looked forward to by the CaraVita team. As Beth puts it, “The young people are our future. The level of care and support that seniors will receive depends on them so we want to help make sure they have the tools to give the best that they can give.”
If you would like more information on the Virtual Dementia Tour and how you can participate in the experience, you can reach out to the CaraVita office for available scheduling options.
