Employee Spotlight – May 2025
Our Employee Spotlight for May is Rose Cohen-Chambers. Rose is originally from Jamaica and grew up the oldest with one brother and 4 sisters. She says that as the oldest, she was the mother for her younger siblings much of the time. Rose had fun going to school, and after graduating, went to a trade school where she learned sewing. She worked in a garment factory as well as babysitting. Rose says she loves kids and older people.
Rose is married to Everoy Chambers and they have 2 daughters and a son, who passed away at age 17. They also have 4 grandchildren that Rose adores. For hobbies, Rose loves to cook. Her favorite things to make are curried chicken, oxtails, and rice with peas. Our staff will tell you Rose is an excellent cook!
When Rose came to the United States 8 years ago, she became a CNA and worked in three different communities before coming to Woodland Ridge. She says she “loves everything about Woodland Ridge. It feels like home.” Rose has been at Woodland Ridge for a year and is usually in our memory care neighborhood. She has a smile that lights up the room.
