Woodland Ridge is proud to announce our September Employee of the Month, Immaculata Umeh, or as we call her—“Imma”!
Imma is originally from Nigeria where she grew up in a large family with two brothers and six sisters. Imma remembers that as a young girl, she liked to wash clothes and play hide and seek.
Imma graduated from Owerri High School in Nigeria, and then went on to get a 3-year degree in college. She worked as a secretary for seven years before deciding to open her own business. She decided to open her own store, where she sold food and snacks.
Imma met her husband at a friend’s party and together they have two children, a daughter, who is 19 years old, and a son, who is 15 months. Imma says the best thing about having her children so far apart in age is that her daughter is able to help care for her little brother.
After Imma and her family applied to move to the United States, it took 13 years until they were finally able to move here. They arrived just last year! When they first got here, Imma and her family lived in Atlanta where Imma worked at another senior living community.
In her spare time, Imma likes to watch movies and read novels. She says, “Woodland Ridge is the best place to work.”
We love having Imma here at Woodland Ridge, too! She has an easy-going nature, is always a friend, and does a great job caring for our residents.
Congratulations on being named Employee of The Month, Imma! We are lucky to have you!
