Congratulations to Mr. Roderick Brewer for being selected as our June 2026 Resident Spotlight!

Mr. Brewer was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He comes from a large family with five brothers and five sisters. Sadly, three of his brothers and one of his sisters have passed away. Mr. Brewer was married to his first wife for over 30 years before she passed away in 2009. Together they shared three children: one son, David, and two daughters, Keisha and Nikki. Mr. Brewer enjoys spending time with his family, taking trips, playing ball together, and going to the movies.

Some of Mr. Brewer’s favorite hobbies include watching television, football, and basketball. After earning his GED, he joined the military in 1971. His first job was at Bilar Supermarket. After serving in the military, he worked at the VA Hospital in Decatur, Georgia.

In 2012, Mr. Brewer met his second wife, Aurelia Brewer, at Shallow Missionary Baptist Church. They have been together for 13 wonderful years and share a loving blended family with three stepchildren. Mr. Brewer says that having a loving family is truly a blessing.

Mr. and Mrs. Brewer both reside at Woodland Ridge Assisted Living. Mr. Brewer says Woodland Ridge is a wonderful place to live, and he especially loves the food here. He also enjoys participating in Bible study and attending the special events offered within the community. We are honored to celebrate you and the wonderful life and experiences you share with our community.
