Resident Spotlight – October 2024
Our Resident Spotlight shines on William “Bill” Stitt for the month of October. Bill is originally from Bradford, Pennsylvania, but the family moved to St. Louis, Missouri where he grew up with one brother, Earl. Math and sports, especially football were Bill’s favorite subjects in high school. His first job was as a waiter and later he also worked for Sears.
After high school, Bill graduated from Principia College and later joined the Air Force where he trained to become a pilot. He spent over 26 years as a Delta pilot and Captain. In the last 10 years with Delta, Bill was a line pilot instructor, a job for which only the best are recruited. After Delta, Bill was an Aircrew Program Manager for 12 years working for the Federal Aviation Administration.
Bill met his wife, Mimi through church and they married in 1980. They have a son, a daughter, and 1 grandchild. Bill was the soccer and softball coach for both of his children and is very proud of each child’s accomplishments over the years. In his spare time, Bill loves to go fly fishing. He also loves to watch sports, play golf, croquet or cornhole and he loves spending time with his family. They went on numerous family trips around the world, including China, Egypt, Greece, Italy, France, and England.
Here at Woodland Ridge, Bill enjoys the pet visits, lunch trips, games, and spending time with Oscar, our maintenance director.
We’re so happy he decided to call Woodland Ridge his home.
