Employee Spotlight – September 2023
In our Employee Spotlight for September is Michael Wood, our new Marketing Director. Michael is from Peachtree City, Georgia, and is the oldest of four brothers. After high school, Michael went to Georgia State University and graduated with a degree in Political Science.
Michael went into the real estate field, where he spent the next 10 years before transitioning to senior living. Michael says he’s always wanted to help families with those difficult long-term care decisions. He started out working in the hospice area and has spent the last 10 years in all areas of senior care.
Michael has one son, age 18, and says his favorite thing to do is spend time with family. He is a big Braves and Falcons fan and enjoys many of the games with his family.
Since coming to work at Woodland Ridge, Michael says, “I really enjoy working with families and residents. At Woodland Ridge the atmosphere is great and the teamwork is great too. We all make sure each resident is moved in and happy.”
We look forward to getting to know Michael and are happy he joined our team!
