Employee Spotlight – October 2023
In our Employee Spotlight is our Rehab Director, Karianna Applegate. Karianna is originally from Crittenden, Kentucky, and grew up the youngest in the family with an older brother and an older sister. After high school graduation, Karianna went to Campbellsville University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine. Next, she went to Jefferson Community College, a division of The University of Louisville to get her Physical Therapy Assistant degree.
Karianna and her husband, Gabe, have 6 children. One son is in Westpoint, set to graduate in May 2024; a daughter works in nursing as a Medical Assistant at a Vascular Surgery Center; another daughter is a Service Writer for FYDA, a freight liner company; and the youngest 3 boys still live at home going to Woodward Academy. All the boys enjoy wrestling and Karianna says that takes up most of their free time, going to matches, clinics, and camps. Gabe is a patent attorney for Baker and Hostetler and they have been married for 16 years.
Karianna says she loves working for Legacy Therapy Company and enjoys working at Woodland Ridge. She came to Woodland Ridge in January and says, “The people are wonderful, and the staff are great too.”
We are so pleased that Karianna has joined our Woodland Ridge team. Our residents love her and she is a true asset to everyone.
