In our Resident Spotlight for April is Terry M.
Ms. Terry was born in Greenville, Tennessee and has a younger brother, Tommy. The family moved a lot when Terry was small living in Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas before settling in Puerto Rico for 12 years.
In Puerto Rico, Terry loved the parties and celebrations for holidays as well as the beach. Terry is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish. In fact, she is so well spoken in Spanish, that people thought she was from Puerto Rico. While in Puerto Rico, she loved to babysit and taught children how to swim. After graduating from Baldwin High School in 1987, Terry went to college in Boston, Massachusetts and studied child psychology.
Terry loves children and especially adores her three nieces, Ellie, Katie and Addie who are now teenagers.
For hobbies, Terry says she likes to lay in the sun, paint her nails, go shopping or to the movies and she used to do needlepoint. She says of all the places she’s traveled, she likes Puerto Rico and Boston the best. Another favorite is her dog, Ralfus and of course, all the dogs at Woodland Ridge.
Since coming to Woodland Ridge, Terry enjoys bingo, music, our annual Dancing with the Senior Stars, trips out to eat or shopping, craft classes and most anything that takes her outdoors. We love Terry’s infectious smile and her positive attitude toward everyone.
