Employee Spotlight – September 2025
In our Employee Spotlight for September, we have our new Resident Care Coordinator, Eugenia “Geni” Mims.
Geni is originally from Compton, California, and grew up in a large family. The most notable thing from her school years was that she wore tangerine orange nail polish all the time from middle school through high school. It was her signature color, and years later, friends would always ask if she still wore her orange polish.
After high school, Geni became a preschool teacher and later worked in administration as a quality assurance administrator for about 5 years. She had her son and went to school to become an LVN or licensed vocational nurse and worked for Kaiser Permanente. She still works for them on an as-needed basis.
Geni is studying to get her bachelor’s degree in nursing and eventually wants to become a Physician’s Assistant. She has 3 stepchildren, ages 33, 31, and 29, and 3 children of her own, ages 21, 17, and 13, as well as 6 grandchildren. She loves spending family time, just playing games, visiting, and being together. The family moved to Atlanta 2 years ago to be near Geni’s Dad, who passed away in April.
For hobbies, Geni enjoys dancing, shopping, and eating, especially seafood and steak. Geni says her faith is the most important thing of all to her. It helps her through everything and keeps that smile on her face.
We hope you will all welcome Geni and help her learn all about Woodland Ridge and our residents.
We’re happy to have her as the newest member of our team.
