Meet Buffy Willis, Woodland Ridge's September 2026 Employee Spotlight, recognized for her compassion, dedication, and outstanding care for residents.

September 2026 Employee Spotlight: Buffy Willis

Congratulations to Buffy Willis, our Employee Spotlight for September 2026!

Buffy is originally from North Chicago, Illinois, and comes from a loving family of seven children. She is the middle child of seven, with two brothers and four sisters. Growing up, Buffy and her siblings enjoyed playing hide-and-seek together and creating many wonderful childhood memories. Buffy graduated from Waukegan West High School in Illinois. Growing up, Buffy’s first job was working for the city through its summer jobs program.

She later went on to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Her dedication to caring for others has continued throughout her career and has become an important part of who she is today.

Family means so much to Buffy. She has two boys, one girl, and five grandchildren: three boys and two girls. She met her husband at a mall in Atlanta, Georgia, and they shared 23 years together, marrying in 2017. Buffy describes her husband as a loving husband and friend. One of the most important and meaningful experiences of her life was caring for him during his final days.

Buffy has been working at Woodland Ridge for three years and says she truly enjoys working there. She loves interacting with the residents and considers herself a people person. Her compassion, honesty, caring nature, and willingness to help others are qualities that make her such a valued member of the Woodland Ridge family. Buffy also enjoys sharing her knowledge with others and helping those around her.

Outside of work, Buffy loves shopping, jazz music, and attending comedy shows. Some of her favorite ways to spend time with family include movie nights, playing UNO, and going out to eat. Her favorite holidays and celebrations include Thanksgiving, Christmas, and birthdays.

Buffy describes herself as a compassionate, honest, and caring person who values peace and getting along with others. She enjoys helping others, sharing her knowledge, and making a positive difference in the lives of those around her.

We congratulate Buffy Willis on being our September 2026 Employee Spotlight! We are grateful for everything she brings to Woodland Ridge and are proud to have her as part of our team. Thank you, Buffy, for your dedication, compassion, and caring heart!
