Congratulations, Clarence Holmes, our October 2026 Resident Spotlight!
Clarence was born in New York. He grew up in a large family of six siblings, four of whom have sadly passed away. Clarence is a proud father of two sons and one daughter. He has always enjoyed spending time with his family and sharing conversations with others.
As a young man, Clarence attended John Jay College and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He also worked as a swimming instructor. During those years, Clarence enjoyed staying active through basketball, bowling, and swimming. He also had a love for caring for plants and enjoyed reading mystery books.
Clarence went on to have a remarkable career of service, retiring from both the New York City Police Department and the U.S. Postal Service.
He took special pride in keeping his clothes neatly pressed and appreciated being organized and well put together.
Today, Clarence continues to enjoy listening to Motown and classical music. At Woodland Ridge, he loves talking with others. He especially enjoys outings, including lunch outings and joy rides, listening to music, and participating in community activities.
Clarence is known for his caring and kind heart, his willingness to help others, and his wonderful sense of humor. His lifetime of service, warm personality, and ability to connect with others make him a wonderful and valued part of the Woodland Ridge community. We are delighted to celebrate Clarence Holmes as our October 2026 Resident of the Month!
