🌟 Resident Spotlight – March 2026 🌟
Mary “Fran” Reed
Ms. Mary Reed, who is affectionately known as Fran, is our Resident Spotlight for the month of March 2026. Fran is originally from Monticello, Georgia, where she grew up with her brother, Eddie, and her sister, Ann. Some of her fondest childhood memories include riding bikes and creating bicycle trails through the woods around her home with her brother.
During her school years, Fran was very active and outgoing. She was a cheerleader and was proudly voted “Miss Hurricane” during her senior year. After graduating, she worked at Western Electric before taking time to stay home while her husband returned to college. Later, Fran worked for the school system as a bookkeeper, where her dedication and organization shone.
Ms. Fran met her husband, Terrell Reed, on a blind date, though she later realized she had seen him before while attending a college basketball game with a friend. Mr. Terrell went on to become a coach at Newman High School, and Fran was always devoted and supportive throughout his coaching career.
Ms. Fran is a proud mother of two children: Tonya, who is married to Mike, and Todd, who is married to Kellie. She is also the loving grandmother of six grandchildren, whom she is incredibly proud of. Family is very important to Fran, and she enjoys every moment spent with them. One cherished family tradition was Terrell’s love of grilling out for family and friends, creating lasting memories together.
Fran has many creative interests. She enjoys collecting crystal birds and Santa Clauses, and each year she lovingly gives Christmas ornaments to others. She also enjoys painting ceramic figures and has even shared this hobby by painting alongside her grandchildren. Ms. Fran is especially passionate about encouraging her grandchildren to pursue their faith and values.
Known for her kind heart, Fran loves helping others and bringing joy to those around her. She enjoys participating in activities within the community and especially looks forward to going on lunch outings.
