Employee Spotlight, February 2022
In our Employee Spotlight for February is Calvin O’Neal. Calvin is originally from Columbia, South Carolina and grew up in a family with two brothers and one sister. He remembers doing lots of traveling and cooking with his family. The vacations they took to places like the Bahamas and Key West were some of his favorites.
Calvin has been a CNA since 1981 working in many different areas such as child and adolescent psychology, disability and special needs as well as geriatric fields. In 2015, Calvin came to Georgia for a change of scenery and stayed. Calvin is single with no kids and says one of his favorite things to do is travel the USA. Favorite trips have been to Myrtle Beach and Key West or going to the beach in the summer. He also loves to read, watch westerns or romance movies and entertain friends.
Calvin began working at Woodland Ridge in September 2021 and has become a resident favorite in our Memory Care neighborhood. He says, “I like the staff to resident ratio here at Woodland Ridge. All the staff work well together as a team to do the best for our residents.” He likes Memory Care because, “it’s more fast paced and hands on.” We love Calvin’s great attitude and caring approach to all our residents. He’s become a valued part of our Woodland Ridge family.
