Employee Spotlight for September 2021
In our Employee Spotlight for September is Renae Miller. Renae is originally from Jamaica and grew up in a family with one brother. The family moved to the United States and Atlanta when Renae was 5 years old. She remembers being the kid who had an accent and others trying to understand her.
After high school, Renae joined the Job Corps at age 19 and lived in Texas for 2 years. During that time, she worked as a medical administration assistant, took a residential advisor course and worked as a corrections officer for 2 years. She says it was scary at times, but a good experience.
Renae is a newlywed, having been married for one year. She has been a CNA for a year as well and took the initiative to become a medicine tech, getting her certification this summer. Her goal is to eventually become a registered nurse and we’re sure she’ll achieve this too!
In her spare time Renae loves movies and outdoor activities like hiking and water activities. She loves to go hiking on trails that are near rivers and lakes.
Renae says, “I like our residents and enjoy working with seniors.” Woodland Ridge is happy to have Renae as part of our team. She’s a self- starter and eager to learn.
