Woodland Ridge is proud to announce that our May Employee of the Month is Sharon McMillian! Sharon is an excellent employee, and we would like to share her story for our readers.
Sharon is from St. Louis, Missouri and came to Georgia in February of 2016. Sharon says she’s worked in Food Service, housekeeping, meeting scheduling at a church and factory work over the years. Her Mom was a chef in the St. Louis school system which may be where her love of cooking comes from.
Sharon has three sons, and her husband passed away in 2007. One son and his family with five grandchildren live in California, another son with his family of two grandchildren live in St. Louis and her third son with his family of one grandchild live here in Atlanta. Sharon can help raise that grandchild and loves helping out.
During her off time, Sharon enjoys going fishing. Her favorite spot is Catfish Lake near the Dallas/Hiram area. She caught three this past weekend! She says she used to love roller skating and bingo and hopes to more of those soon. Sharon is a favorite cook for our residents and has worked in our kitchen since March of 2017.
When talking about Woodland Ridge, Sharon says, “I like the people here, and I love our residents.” We love Sharon’s great attitude and her willingness to help everyone whenever asked.
Woodland Ridge wants to thank Sharon for sharing her story with our community members, and we urge you to say hello if you ever see her around! She is an outstanding employee, and we’re happy to announce that she is our May Employee of the Month! Check back each month to learn about all of our outstanding employees!
